I always look forward to winter just so that I can bust out my collection of different beanies. I'm not sure about you but beanies are just plain awesome.

Although this reference is heavy on the details, we'll create a beanie drawing that is much more simpler than this.

Steps For Drawing A Beanie

Step 1

The first step to drawing a beanie is to draw a curved line as such. As you can see, it much more narrow at the top of the curve rather than a full curved half circle.

Step 2

Now draw another horizontal curved line around that shape. Fill the sides in with ink so that it looks like this.

Step 3

Draw two slightly curved lines on either side of that shape to create the part where is will sit on the forehead.

Step 4

To make your beanie drawing more interesting, draw a set of parallel lines around the band of the beanie to give it a fun design. You can color this in later.

Step 5

Draw another line that curves around this shape to make it look like a completed band.

You have the option to stop your drawing here if you just want to draw a simple beanie but the next step with show you how to make it look cuter.

Step 6

Draw an uneven cloud/flower shape at the top of the beanie for the pouf. Once you have done this step, your beanie drawing is now done.

Step 7

To make your drawing stand out, the best way to do this is to add color to it.

I've chosen to use a few shades of orange but you can choose to use any color you want.

It's completely up to you if you want to make it more detailed by adding pattern onto your beanie or leave the stripes out.
